Local Government Climate Action Program (LGCAP)
Local Government Climate Action Program (LGCAP) provides local governments and Modern Treaty Nations with predictable and stable funding to support the implementation of local climate action that reduces emissions and prepares communities for the impacts of a changing climate.

Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program (CARIP)
The Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program (CARIP) was replaced with LGCAP and was a conditional grant program that provided funding to Climate Action Charter signatories, covering one hundred percent of the carbon taxes that they paid directly. This funding supported local governments in their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move forward on achieving their climate action goals.
The RDCK, as a signatory to the Climate Action Charter, is required to report publicly on its greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts. To view the RDCK’s Public CARIP Reports:
