Sponsorships

The RDCK Community Services Department is inviting businesses and organizations to partner with us in providing free recreation opportunities for the public.

Sponsorships make it possible to offer Free Skates, Free Swims, and Free General Admission events to the pool, arena, and fitness centre. These opportunities help ensure that families and individuals facing financial barriers can still participate in recreation services across the RDCK.

By sponsoring a free event, your business or organization will:

  • Provide direct benefit to the community by increasing access to recreation.
  • Be recognized as a valued partner in building healthy, active communities.
  • Receive acknowledgment through RDCK promotional materials.
  • Have the opportunity to hand out promotional materials on the day of your sponsored event to promote your business or organization.

We look forward to working together to make recreation accessible and welcoming for all.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for a free swim, a free skate, a combined free swim and skate (facility-dependent), or a free general admission opportunity.

  • Free Swim: Provides complimentary general admission for all members of the public to access and enjoy the pool during the designated time.
  • Free Skate: Provides complimentary general admission for all members of the public to access and enjoy a public skate during the designated time.
  • Free General Admission: Provides complimentary general admission for all members of the public to access and enjoy free access to the pool, arena and fitness centre during the designated time.

Statutory Holidays

We’re excited to offer sponsorship opportunities for select statutory holidays:

  • Boxing Day
  • Family Day
  • Good Friday
  • Victoria Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Remembrance Day

To request a sponsorship for a statutory holiday, please complete the sponsorship request form and provide your preferred date and time.

Midday and End of Day

We also offer sponsorship opportunities for midday and end-of-day time slots. These sponsorships are available for a duration of two hours. To request a sponsorship for a midday or end of day time slot, please complete the sponsorship request form and provide your preferred date and time.

Prices for sponsorship opportunities may vary. The prices listed below are base prices, calculated from our rental rates in the Fees and Charges schedule, plus staffing costs and applicable taxes.

Terms & Conditions: 

  • Alignment & Approval: All sponsorships must align with RDCK’s mission, values, and policies. RDCK reserves the right to approve or decline any sponsorship or related promotional materials at its discretion. 
  • No Endorsement: Sponsorship does not imply RDCK endorsement of the sponsor’s products, services, or organization. 
  • Use of Branding & Promotional Displays: The RDCK will provide all promotional materials to promote the sponsored event. Sponsors must receive RDCK approval for all branding and promotional materials. One table will be provided for displays, and all materials must fit within that space. No banners may be hung on facility structures, and sponsors are responsible for their own setup and takedown. 
  • Restrictions: Sponsors shall not attempt to influence RDCK policy or operations, access RDCK data or staff for commercial purposes, or expect automatic renewal of sponsorships. Sponsors must not promote religious, political, or divisive messages, or any content that is discriminatory, derogatory, or harmful. 
  • Liability: Sponsors participate at their own risk. The RDCK is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items or for any injury or loss resulting from participation.
