Proposals are being requested from proponents to be Exclusive Vending Machine Service and Supplier at
the Castlegar and District Community Complex (CDRD), Nelson and District Community Complex (NDCC)
and Creston & District Community Complex (CDCC) for a period of three (3) years.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to secure a contractual agreement with a successful
proponent for Exclusive Vending Machine Service and Supplier rights at the CDRD, NDCC and CDCC at its
sole expense, in exchange for compensation to the CDRD, NDCC and CDCC at no cost to the CDRD, NDCC
or CDCC.
The RDCK is seeking Proposals for a Contract to supply the Services herein described on or before August
1, 2026.

Request for Proposals: Request for Proposals: Preliminary Assessment of Hydraulic Connectivity in the Goat River Watershed – Closes 2:00 PM (PDT), July 6, 2026
The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is requesting proposals from qualified agencies for a study of hydraulic connectivity in the Goat River Watershed. The study will establish a three-dimensional hydro-stratigraphic model, collect hydrochemical and isotopic field data across two seasons, and interpret connectivity between the East Creston Bedrock Aquifer (AQ488), unconsolidated aquifers, and key notated surface water streams. Findings will support groundwater availability assessments and long-term water sustainability planning for the watershed.

Request for Proposals: Creston & District Community Complex Concession Operator – Closes 12:00 PM (PDT), July 2, 2026
The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) owns and operates a fully equipped concession facility at the Creston and District Community Complex (CDCC). This facility includes a commercial-grade kitchen designed to support the provision of food and beverage services at scale to patrons of the Complex.
The RDCK is inviting proposals from qualified operators to provide concession services as described herein, with submissions to be received on or before July 2, 2026. Proponents are expected to clearly outline their approach to delivering high-quality food and beverage services on a consistent and reliable basis. This should include service delivery for regularly scheduled operations and special events hosted at the facility.
Proposals must include, at a minimum:
- A detailed description of the proposed service model, including staffing, hours of operation, and approach to maintaining consistency and quality;
- A sample menu, including pricing, demonstrating a range of food and beverage offerings;
- Identification of healthy and nutritious menu options;
- A proposed fee structure outlining the financial return to the RDCK for use of the facility (operating fee), noting that this is not a traditional rental arrangement.
The RDCK seeks a proponent that can provide a high standard of service, enhance the overall patron experience, and demonstrate a sustainable and well-managed operating approach.
