RDCK Fitness Training Day – Call for Facilitators

The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is inviting qualified individuals and organizations to share their expertise at the 2026 Fitness Training Day.

Each year, this event brings together fitness staff from across the region for a full day of learning, collaboration, and professional development. It’s a chance to support ongoing certification through Continuing Education Credits (CECs) while strengthening skills, sharing ideas, and connecting with peers across RDCK Fitness Services.

This year’s event will take place at the Castlegar & District Community Complex on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and will welcome approximately 30–50 fitness staff.

Our Fitness Training Day blends shared learning with focused, role-specific training. We are currently seeking facilitators to deliver:

  • Two full-group sessions for all attendees
  • Up to three breakout sessions tailored to:
    • Aquafit
    • Group Fitness
    • Personal Training & Fitness Centre Staff

Sessions will be scheduled in 1.5 to 3-hour blocks throughout the day.

All sessions should be suitable for Continuing Education Credit (CEC) eligibility through BCRPA or an equivalent certifying body. RDCK will support selected facilitators through the CEC approval process.

We welcome expressions of interest from:

  • Fitness educators
  • Trainers and presenters
  • Subject-matter experts
  • Organizations offering professional development in fitness or recreation

We’re looking for engaging, practical, and relevant learning experiences that connect directly to real-world fitness instruction and service delivery.
