Rosebud Lake Regional Park
June 10, 2025
Users of Rosebud Lake may have noticed a reduction in the Lake level recently (approximately 16 – 18 inches). The RDCK undertook cleaning of the spillway, as required under the Provincial Dam Safety Regulations, which dropped the lake level to the original intended level of the dam. The cleaning of the spillway included removal of debris, widening and brush removal from the spillway banks. With this work completed, park users should see the lake level stay consistent with only minor seasonal fluctuations.
With the purchase of the additional land at Rosebud Lake Regional Park, the RDCK is now responsible for the maintenance of the Rosebud Lake Dam and is required to follow the Provincial Dam Safety Regulations.
