Request for Quote: Creston Landfill Leachate Pond Maintenance – Closes 2:00 PM (MST), November 11, 2026
The RDCK operates a composting facility at the Creston Landfill. Leachate (liquids released from the organic waste) are channeled from the windrows (uniform rows of organic waste that are treated with forced aeration via perforated pipes and heat) to a lined catchment pond.
The volume of leachate decreases with evaporation during hot and dry weather, and increases during periods of high precipitation. When collected leachate approaches 120 m3 in volume, it must be then pumped via vacuum truck and transported to the Town of Creston Wastewater Treatment Plant site for disposal at their septage pits.
The RDCK is seeking Quotes for a two-year Contract, with an option of up to three 1-year extensions, to supply the Services herein described, on an “as needed/when needed” basis, meaning that there is no commitment to the number of requests or volumes within a given year, and that the process may result in one or more contracts.
