Columbia Basin Trust Resident Directed Grants

WHAT IS THE REDI GRANT PROGRAM ABOUT?
ReDi Grants (Resident Directed Grants) support projects that benefit the broad community and public good through community-based decision-making and ensuring an opportunity for resident input on projects.
ReDi Grants are delivered by local governments and First Nations to support projects that benefit the broad community and public good. Program funds are distributed annually so delivery partners can select and fund projects in accordance with overall guidelines that are established by the Trust. Project selection must include an opportunity for resident input, resulting in community-based funding decisions.
2026 ReDi Grant Application Period Now Closed. The deadline for submissions to the RDCK was 4:30 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Applications will now go to the Community Involvement Process where meetings for resident input will take place April 2026 and vary for each area and municipality based on the needs of the community. Dates, times, locations & meeting details for each community are below and will be advertised in local newspapers and RDCK media.

ReDi Reporting
WHAT IS THE PROJECT PERIOD ReDi GRANTS?
The ReDi Grants project period is defined as the day after approval at the RDCK May board meeting, to June 30 the following year. All proposals (projects) funded with ReDi Grants funding are expected to be completed during this time.
WHAT ARE THE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS?
- All successful proponents of ReDi funding MUST:
- Ensure their project is completed by June 30 of the following year from when your application was approved. (For Example: If your application was approved May 19, 2025, then your project completion deadline would be June 30, 2026.)
- Ensure that all project funds have been spent as outlined in the approved proposal
- Voluntarily, and without reminders, submit a Final Financial Report upon completion of their project or no later than December 31 of the following year from when your application was approved.
- Ensure the Final Financial Report is submitted with copies of receipts, invoices, and other supporting documentation that demonstrate how the total amount of ReDi Grants funding was utilized
- If a proponent has not spent all the ReDi Grants funding received, unused funds must be returned to the RDCK before the Final Financial Report can be approved. Do not send unspent funds back until you have checked with the grants coordinator.
- Incomplete projects as of the June 30 completion date, are advised to obtain an authorized extension or authorized change of scope by the following October 31 to remain in good standing. Submit a ReDi Grants extension or change of scope request.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A FINAL FINANCIAL REPORT IS NOT SUBMITTED BY DECEMBER 31 REPORTING DEADLINE FOR YOUR PROJECT YEAR?
Organizations with outstanding or incomplete Project Financial Reports as of December 31, will not be eligible for future ReDi Grants funding until the outstanding or incomplete final financial report has been submitted to and approved by the RDCK. If you are unsure of your organization’s project status, please contact the RDCK as soon as possible for clarification.
