Castlegar & District Community Complex

The Castlegar & District Community Complex is a multi-purpose facility that houses an Arena, a 6 lane, 25 meter pool and leisure pool, whirlpool, weight room, fitness studio, meeting rooms, banquet facility, kitchen and Senior Centre.  Adjacent to the facility are four tennis courts, soccer/football field, ball diamond and skate boarding park.

Our facility hours of operations are Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

General Admission Rates

  • *10-punch passes expire 1 year from date of purchase.
  • Leisure Access Program rates apply.
  • Reservations are available for specific programs in advance.
  • Youth 13-15 years of age are required to participate in the Youth Weight Room orientations before they can access the Fitness Centre.

Active Passes

The Active Pass is a time-based membership that gives pass-holders unlimited general admission to: Public Swim, Lane Swim, Hot Tub, Fitness Centre, Included w/Admission group fitness classes, Public Skate, and Shinny Hockey. Prices do not include tax.

  

Registration for included with admission programs, within 24 hours of a program start time, is only available to those who have purchased a 1, 3, or 6 month Active Pass time-based-membership or Golden Guests.

In-person registration is required, for users who do not have a 1, 3, or 6 month Active Pass time-based membership, one hour prior to the program start time. If you do not have a time-based-membership, you can no longer call the front desk to register.

Leisure Access Pass

The Leisure Access Pass provides an opportunity for families and individuals with financial need in our community with an opportunity to participate in recreation services. The program provides a 50% discount on admission fees for the Fitness Centre, Arena and Aquatic Centre.

Residents of the RDCK are eligible for this program. It is based on the combined annual household income and must be re-applied for each year.

The program is undergoing changes to increase access for RDCK residents. All current pass holders will have their pass extended until December 31, 2024. New application and program details will be available later in the summer.

Banquet Hall & Meeting Rooms

The Castlegar & District Community Complex offers event space for large and small events. Facilities include a banquet hall for weddings and large conferences, commercial kitchen, and smaller meeting rooms. Our banquet hall can be transformed into 3 separate rooms and a variety of set up configurations to suit your needs.

Our rental rates include tables and chairs set up to your specifications as well as staging, P/A system, microphones, podiums, screens, whiteboards, flip chart stands and more.  LCD projector is available to rent. Kitchen includes table settings and wine glasses.
