The RDCK makes every attempt to involve Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs at the events as well to allow residents to drop off product stewardship items at the same time. Due to cost restraints, not all product stewards were available at all events. For information on BC’s product stewardship programs, including depot locations, visit: www.rcbc.ca or 1-800-667-4321.
The Nelson Leafs Recycling Depot / Eco Depot is open year round. This is the first Eco Depot to open in the RDCK through a partnership between the Nelson Leafs and the RDCK. Contact the Nelson Leafs Recycling Centre for more information and a complete list of accepted materials. The RDCK hopes this will serve as a model for future Eco Depots in the District.
