*NEW* - Community Planning Conversations
On May 4th and 5th, 2022 the Electoral Area ‘H’ Director and RDCK Planning Staff held two public meetings in New Denver and Hills.
The purpose of the public meetings was for RDCK staff to provide more information on the different kinds of land use planning tools available to Area H North residents (OCPs, Zoning Bylaws, Development Permit Areas, other planning tools). Additionally, the meetings provided an opportunity to hear from Area H residents about their specific land use concerns, discuss whether the current OCP effectively addresses those concerns, and whether residents think additional planning tools could be of benefit to the communities in Area H North.
If you were unable to attend the meetings a recording of the RDCK’s Planning 101 presentation can be viewed here:
Also, summaries of the key themes that were discussed at the meetings can be viewed by following the links below:
The meetings were held in advance of the Area ‘H’ North Official Community Plan (OCP) review, which was approved by the RDCK Board of Directors in 2020. The current OCP covers all portions of Area H north of Slocan City. All portions of Area H south of Slocan City are not included in the OCP area. The current OCP can be found by following the links below:
