Water Utility Rates
Water rates vary by individual service depending on treatment and distribution infrastructure, asset renewal and operations and maintenance requirements, and the number of accounts serviced. All water systems are completely self-sufficient and funded by the users of the service. The only exception is whatever funding may be obtained from federal and provincial grant programs.
The Regional District often collects revenue from both a user rate and a parcel tax. This parcel tax appears on a homeowner’s annual property tax bill.

Pre-Authorized Water Payment Program
The RDCK is pleased to offer our customers an optional Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Plan for water bills.
A Customer Agreement must be completed and submitted to the RDCK with a void cheque or bank account information.

Change of Water Use/Billing Adjustment Request
For requests to make adjustments on your water utility account or to let us know if your water use has changed, please complete the online form.
You may also request a hard copy form to complete and submit to WaterContact@rdck.bc.ca by contacting our office at 250.352.8161. You can also submit the form via mail or fax at 250.352.9300.
Examples of adjustments and changes include:
- Addition of a dwelling unit to a property
- Removal of a manufactured home from a property
- Addition of a legal suite that contains cooking, eating, living, sleeping, and sanitary facilities
- Addition of an Air BnB unit that contains cooking, eating, living, sleeping, and sanitary facilities
- Installation of a swimming pool greater than 5,000 liters (Erickson/Lister only)
- Mobile housing units set up for long-term occupancy greater than 90 days per calendar year
Change of Ownership/Address
To inform us of a change of ownership or change of mailing address, please complete the online form.

Please note that a change in mailing address must also be completed with BC Assessment by the registered owner as the Regional District obtains all property information for its database from BC Assessment.
