Current Fire Bans & Restrictions
Southeast Fire Centre

Category 2 open fires remain prohibited in all remaining zones of the Southeast Fire Centre.

Category 3 open fires are prohibited throughout the Southeast Fire Centre.

There are currently no campfire bans in effect for the Southeast fire centre.

Effective at noon on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, campfires will once again be allowed throughout the Southeast Fire Centre.

Due to recent changes in weather and fire behaviour, the closure of the Rocky Mountain Forest District will be rescinded effective at noon Pacific Time on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.

The operation of off-road vehicles will once again be permitted on Crown land throughout the Southeast Fire Centre, effective at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017.

Several Forest Service Roads are currently closed in the Southeast Fire Centre to protect public safety and aid in fire suppression efforts, they are:

-White River Forest Service Road, starting at the 32.5 kilometre mark.

-White-East Fork Forest Service Road, starting at the 60-kilometre mark.

-White-Schoefield Forest Service Road, starting at the 78-kilometre mark.

-The White North Fork Forest Service Road.

-Lodgepole Creek R05956 SEC 1 Forest Service Road, starting at the 54.3-kilometre mark.

The Etna Forest Service Road remains closed from the 14 km to 0.5 Km mark.

These road closures will remain in effect until the public is otherwise notified.
