In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, all RDCK offices, landfills, transfer stations, gated recycling depots, and recreation complexes will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 30.
This is a day to recognize the impacts of the Canadian residential school system on Indigenous Peoples and to honour the resilience and dignity of survivors. This day is an opportunity to build on our commitment to reconciliation in our communities. Wearing an orange shirt on this day is a way to show our support.
There are many ways to listen, learn, and take part.
