Trail between Wildhorse Creek Rd. & Wesco Rd. closed indefinitely

Nelson, BC:  The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is advising the public that a section of the Nelson-Salmo Great Northern Trail between Wildhorse Creek Road and Wesco Road will be closed indefinitely. The closure is effective immediately. Recent weather events, and flooding of the Salmo River have washed out a significant portion of the trail.

The RDCK thanks users for respecting posted signage and staying off this portion of the trail. All trail users are being asked to stay away from riverbanks and fast-flowing water.

Incorporated in 1965, the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is a local government that serves 60,000 residents in 11 electoral areas and nine member municipalities. The RDCK provides more than 160 services, including community facilities, fire protection and emergency services, grants, planning and land use, regional parks, resource recovery and handling, transit, water services and much more.
