RDCK head office to re-open to the public on June 22

Nelson, BC: The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) will officially re-open its head office in Nelson to the public on Monday June 22, 2020. The office at 202 Lakeside Drive in Nelson has been closed since March 20, 2020. Office hours will be 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The office will have posted entry guidelines including special sanitization and physical distancing protocols guided by WorkSafe BC to help protect RDCK staff and all members of the public. There will be maximum occupancy limits in the office, so the public is asked to adhere to all policies and procedures which may include waiting your turn outside while practicing physical distancing.

Residents are encouraged to contact RDCK staff ahead of time by phone or email first to see if they can be helped remotely and, if not, to make an appointment with staff.

“We are happy to welcome the public back to our head office,” said Stuart Horn, RDCK Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). “We remind people to be patient as they follow the new guidelines which are for the health and safety of everyone.”

Offices in Creston and Nakusp will remain closed until further notice.
