Zwicky Road, Kaslo Landslide - Evacuation Alert Rescinded

The Regional District of Central Kootenay is rescinding the Evacuation Alert for six homes below the Zwicky Road Landslide that occurred on April 17th, 2017. There are no properties in the area that remain under Evacuation Alert.
Geotechnical experts performed a site visit of the landslide this week and have determined that the likelihood of continued landslide activity is low.
If residents notice any debris indicators or hazards, they can call the 24-hour provincial Emergency Coordination Centre toll-free number at 1-800-663-3456. IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY DIAL 9-1-1.
