This course will include an onsite component at the end of the day. Using a local real world onsite home, the class will participate in a blower door test. This will include hands on preparation for the test, highlighting of common problem areas as well as strategies for improvement and repairs. Attendees will also have the chance to discuss their own strategies and solutions for a cost-effective air tightness result. This session will also discuss airtightness best practice and strategies for renovations.
If you have a home that is close to the event location and would like to offer it as a test home the instructor team can provide you with a mid construction verification for your permit compliance as this test would be considered a proper mid construction test.
As this portion of the course will take place on a local construction site, please dress appropriately for conditions. Access to a vehicle will be required to get to the site from the hotel venue.
