City of Castlegar - Kirk Duff

Kirk Duff was elected to the City of Castlegar as Mayor on April 24, 2021 and has 20 years of experience as a City Councillor, including nine years as the City’s representative to the Regional District.

He has been a member of the Lions Club for over forty years and is currently the Board Chair of the BC Lions Clubs Society for Children with Disabilities & Easter Seals House based in Vancouver with summer camps at Shawnigan Lake, Squamish and Winfield.

He served on the Castlegar Sculpture Walk board, Castlegar & District Library board of trustees, Castlegar & District Hospital Foundation executive & volunteered with the Castlegar Homecoming committee, BC Seniors Games and Kootenay Festival.

He is a Quality Assurance Specialist with Teck Resources whom he has been employed with for the past forty two years.

Him and his wife Myra live in downtown Castlegar and this coming July they will celebrate forty years of marriage. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
