Expect Service Disruptions at RDCK Resource Recovery Facilities Due to Extreme Heat

Nelson, BC: Expect service disruptions at Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) Resource Recovery facilities during the heat wave currently being experienced in our region.
While our staff are well prepared for recognizing and preventing heat stress, excessive heat brings concerns about the safety of our staff at locations with limited shade or a lack of infrastructure such as air conditioning. Staff safety is of the utmost importance to the RDCK.
Service disruptions may include early site closures or limited staff availability. Please check www.rdck.ca for updates on site specific disruptions.
