EOC Evacuation Order Rescinded for Slocan River drainage region

Nelson, BC: Based on observed river levels, the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) has rescinded the evacuation order for the Slocan River drainage region in electoral Area ‘H’ and ‘I’ and the Village of Slocan. The area remains under evacuation alert.
The evacuation order was issued at approximately 11:00 pm tonight, however, based on observed river levels, the order has been rescinded. Homes that were part of the evacuation order for the Slocan River are not required to evacuate at this time.
This includes Slocan River drainage, South of the Village of Slocan including some residents within:
- The Village of Slocan
- Lemon Creek
- Slocan Park
- Crescent Valley
Everyone is advised to stay away from riverbanks and fast-flowing water.
