Second Public Hearing for Area G Land Use Bylaw

Nelson, BC: The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is holding a second Public Hearing to review the proposed Area G Land Use Bylaw 2452. The Public Hearing is being held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, 6:00 pm at the Salmo Valley Youth and Community Centre, 206 7th Street in Salmo.

This Public Hearing provides an opportunity for property owners and residents in Area G to provide written or verbal submissions for or against the proposed bylaw. This follows a series of public workshops held in the spring, and ongoing work by the RDCK Planning department.

“Area G residents have already been involved in the process to develop the Area G Official Community Plan, so this is a further opportunity for amendments to be reviewed and validated before the bylaw goes to the Board,” said Hans Cunningham, Director of Electoral Area G. “Please visit the project website to inform yourself, and attend the hearing to have your voice heard.”

Residents and property owners will be receiving notice of the Public Hearing in their mailboxes. Residents who cannot attend the Public Hearing can deliver their written submissions prior to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10, to: Regional District of Central Kootenay, Box 590, 202 Lakeside Drive, Nelson, BC, V1L 5R4.
