Corporate Administration

What We Do

Under the policies and directives of the Board of the Regional District of Central Kootenay, the Corporate Administration Department provides legislative and administrative services and support to the Board, its committees and the public.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and distributing Board and committee agendas
  • Ensuring accurate recording of the proceedings of the Board and its committees
  • Maintaining corporate and official records and information
  • Conveying decisions of the Board for action or information
  • Discretionary, Community Development and Columbia Basin Trust grant administration
  • Preparing bylaws – service establishment, borrowing and regulatory
  • Conducting elections and assent voting opportunities in the electoral areas
  • Preparing contracts, leases and agreements
  • Managing the information and privacy program under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
  • Ensuring that statutory obligations are met
  • Participating in special projects
  • Corporate communications
